We absolutely love this place...the Vietnamese food is fantastic. It's some of the best I've had. I always get the VN 13 on the menu. It's bbq shrimp, pork and beef on top of a bed of rice noodles. My girlfriend usually gets the Pho. The prices are great. If you're looking for some of the best Asian food in Conroe..head over to Van Thong!

My original experience was top-notch except for delivery time. Last experience was horrible enough to never order from them again. I thought I originally followed the guidelines so I will try again. When I received my food the delivery time was much better, when I opened my food it was obvious why, I had ordered all of these dishes previously from this restaurant and neither the Orange Beef nor the Gen Tsos Chicken looked very good at all. The general Tsos sauce was much thinner than usual and the quality of chicken was not good. The breading was slimey as if it had been sitting around for a while . The Orange Beef which I was so looking forward to you could see that something was not right about the breading, once I tasted it I knew something was wrong. I called and informed them of the poor quality of food and that I had never had any problems before. They informed me they had a new cook and he was not yet used to how they (Van Thong)did things. He then went on to tell me that he hoped I would try them again , but if I did and the food was still no better he didn't know what to tell me. If you are aware that your cook is not up to par and you serve below quality food you should accept responsibility for serving the below par food. I was a restaurant server for over 15 years and I understand that people are a a lot of the time looking for something for free, but this was simply not the case. I suppose I just expected to be treated better after telling friends and family they should give it a try. I've worked and eaten in enough restaurants to know the food was left over from lunch. I assume this was an attempt to speed up delivery time and if it was, the quality of food shouldn't have been sacrificed. If the problem has been corrected you will really enjoy your experience, if not, your experience may end up like mine.

My family loves Van Thong, its nice having vietnamese food close by and they also deliver - if your close. Which makes it even better!
We love the shrimp pho and the chicken pho and my baby loves the vietnamese egg rolls - my husband loves these sandwich things I forgot what they were called but they sure are yummy!!

The ambience is alright, traditional chinese style which is fine. The Vietnamese food is delicious and the Chinese food is not bad. The place is pretty clean and the price is fair. My kids love the place and most of all their waitress Cindy is a joy. She is always smiling and always ready to serve, even if she is the only waitress at times.

China Buffet can't decide what their price will be. Is it lunch, dinner, .75 off, senior discount, weekend price. How about fewer prices so we know what we are going to pay. I felt I was being ripped off. If dinner p
