After a neighbor's review on June 24,2009 about the Valley Stream, I was reluctant ever to go there. However, I was invited to a family function at the restaurant and had no alternative but attend. Contrary to what was described by the adverse reviewer, my observation was totally different. I found the restaurant impeccable. Either the restaurant must have a completely different management, or it sounds to me by the tone of the review that the negative comments could be based more on a personal vendetta on the part of a hostile neighbor, creating gross fabrications, rather than on a honest and true evaluation of the restaurant itself. On the evening I was there the service and dinners were superb. I'll definitely be back!

Why avoid this place? Let me count the ways:
1. Smell of mold as soon as you walk in the door
2. Filthy windows and mirrors in the front entry way.
3. Scum and mold on the so-called fish tank that may have housed lobsters at one time.
4. The wait staff all sitting at the bar, watching TV as we wait 2 minutes at the hostess' desk before someone noticed us.
5. We were finally noticed by a busboy -- who yelled over to the hostess. She reluctantly looked up from her newspaper comics page, and slowly walked over to us. No smile on her face, no greeting.

And that's before we were even seated! It gets better.
6. We asked for a table outside on what they call a patio -- a cramped little courtyard choked with weeds coming up through the bricks.
7. Seated at a cheap plastic table with even cheaper chairs.
8. Flyspecked and dirty menus just tossed on the table.
9. Filthy salt and pepper shakers on the table.
By this time we knew we just had to leave -- or risk food poisoning. So we tried to exit the patio back through the restaurant when..
10. The door outside was broken and had to be jarred off its hinges to let us back in.

We're neighbors of this restaurant on Bridgetown Pike. Used to eat here every other month until 2 years ago because of some of the problems mentioned -- dirty floors and tables, very poor wait staff. Decided to try it one more time a few weekends ago. And this was a blow-by-blow account of our short 10 minute stay.

What's even more laughable is the banners out front, proclaiming this to be a 'Best in Bucks County' restraurant. If this was the best, I would shudder to think who was #2.

My hope is that these restaurant owners go out of business....and someone else goes in and guts the place
