About Umberto's of Mamma Marisa
Head Chef Alberto Annunziata combines fresh ingredients with a rare culinary flair, creating fine and original examples of contemporary Italian-American cuisine. From his start as a six year old boy following his father Umberto around the kitchen, Chef Alberto's talents have only blossomed with time and experience.
And now as a graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America, Chef Alberto brings his top level talents to all the sophisticated and delicious culinary masterworks he prepares at Umberto's. His specialties include all the classic Italian dishes you expect, but also beautiful pastas, such as Tortellini con Pesto e Panno, and dishes such as Chicken Umberto, Veal Angelina, Vitello Sorrentino and many, many more. At Umberto's, we even prepare classic American dishes with imported ingredients!
And the desserts? Perfectly delectable and prepared fresh on-premises! And we top it all off with an extensive selection of fine wines!! No wonder Umberto's of Mamma Marisa's fine cuisine has been rated Four Stars by Poughkeepsie Journal reviewer, Brenda Buchbinder Sachs!
The entire Umberto's of Mamma Marisa family takes pride in the satisfaction and enjoyment of each of our many customers. We try our hardest to make every meal a memorable one. So we'd like to say a great big Thank You to all our wonderful customers for our many years of culinary success.
Bouno Appetito!

Amici's Restaurant
American, Italian, Pizzeria, GourmetA diner from Poughkeepsie Dec 12, 2009
The food at Amici's is not consistent. If the owner if there, it's good - if he is not there it's cold and horrible. We've eaten there about 6 times and would not return. There are much better restaurants near by.
