Excellent place! I go there all the time for the fantastic salads, miso soup to die for, delicious teriyaki dinners, and the freshest sushi I have ever had!
Sit at the bar and watch the chef do his magic, the ambience of this place is fantastic, I would DEFINITELY recommend this to anyone!

Tomo has the freshest and best selection of sushi that we have found in San Jose. The sushi bar is usually full during dinner hour however the table area is fairly large so there may be a seat available for you (except friday and saturday night). The house sushi specialties are albacore tataki, slices of fresh (never seared) albacore over daikon radish with ponzu sauce; oysters on the half shell and San Jose Ole, a hand roll made with spicy yellowtail and tuna. They usually have several types of fresh shellfish available such as giant clam, abalone or razor clam which always make for good sushi. Jun (the owner) makes his own Monkfish Liver which is well worth trying. For dessert, the uni is usually very fresh.

We have not tried thier cooked food however some of our friends have said it is excellent. I have meant to sit down and try it but I can't seem to make it past the sushi bar.

See you there!
