We have eaten at Shiki's several times and the food was always plentiful and very good tasting. For this type of restaurant we feel the prices are within reason. We look forward to eating at Shiki's again soon.

My family loves this restaurant! Having two children finding a sushi restaurant that doesn't turn their nose up at them is rare. We feel so comfortable at Tokyo we dine there a minimum of twice a month. The servers take the time to make sure you have everything you need and remember us when we return. We have spent many "special occassions" eating at Tokyo. Our oldest has chosen it for her birthday dinner tonight. Don't expect a posh or pretentious place, this is a comfortable, friendly restaurant with excellent food and even better staff! We love it!

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in Oklahoma City. The sushi is always very fresh with excellent presentation and the Japanese dinners are just as delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive and having an empty glass is a rarity. The ambiance is that of a tasteful Japanese house, without loud music and soothing colors. It is very clean and very reasonably priced. Save room the green tea ice cream as it is worth the wait.

I highly recommend this place.

One thing Oklahoma City has in abundance are A)sushi places and B)Japanese 'theme' restaurants (Shoguns, Musashi's, etc). Unfortunately, their choices are limited and sometimes hardly Japanese at all.

We returned to OKC after 8 years in Japan and were hoping to find an authentic Japanese restaurant and this is as good as it gets. They offer a variety of Japanese staples and even serve shabu-shabu upon request. You can't beat that.

And the fact you hear so much Nihongo being spoken inside this restaurant should also tell you something about its authenticity. Go there!

Tokyo Sushi is our favorite sushi place in the Oklahoma City area. I feel for the diner who wrote about his wedding anniversary celebration -- the very reason we love Tokyo Sushi is that it is NOT a pretentious location. If you want granite countertops and servers dressed in all-black and having to speak in hushed tones dining by candlelight, then head up Western to Sushi Neko and spend twice as much money for sushi that's not as good. What Tokyo spares on luxurious ambiance gets passed on to the diners in large portions of delicious Japanese cuisine at affordable prices. If you happen to be lucky enough to be there at a time when they have Hamachi Kama, we highly recommend it. All the sushi rolls are great. Fish is the freshest we've found in town and sushi is expertly assembled. Delicious taste combinations, very friendly staff -- and yes, as someone said earlier, every time we've been there, at least half the clientele are Japanese. That's a really telling sign of a great Japanese restaurant. We're going there tonight. It's our wedding anniversary. And we'll be comfortable, sit at the sushi bar, and stuff ourselves. Fabulous.

Since the restaurant was in Nichol's Hills and was rated well by most other reviewers, I thought this was the perfect restaurant to take my wife for our Wedding Anniversary (she wanted sushi). I was wrong. The restaurant looks like a slightly renovated hamburger grill restaurant where you could get a jumbo burger with fries for $4. Although this isn't a bad idea or bad restaurant concept, it is certainly NOT what I was expecting after reading the reviews. The tables, booths and walls were showing significant wear and tear. The service was incredibly slow. It was so slow our simple meal took a total of 2 hours up until closing time, which was 9:30pm. They frequently apologized for being slow, but hiring more staff or being more efficient is the right answer. Good management should realize this. I've eaten sushi in many restaurants in many large cities around the world, literally. I would consider the sushi at this restaurant to be slightly below average. It is about as good as the British Tesco grocery store's packaged sushi. When I made the reservation that it was my Wedding Anniversary Celebration with my wife, they did congratulate us after our meal, which was nice. Otherwise, I was very disappointed with the entire evening and find it difficult to find many other compliments.

Tokyo sushi is perfect for die hard Japanese cuisine lovers. Not only will sushi lovers faint over their amazing selection but people seeking other classic Japanese dishes such as yakisoba, udon soup, tempura, teriyaki, etc. Anyone looking for affordable, delicious, and authentic Japanese food needs to look no further than Tokyo Sushi. I recommend the Tempura Udon soup or the Tokyo Box which gives you a lot for your money.

This place is GREAT! It is my favorite sushi joint in OKC. The quality is top notch, the prices are low and you get a lot for your money. Food is as good as any sushi place in town, prices are better, more sushi for you money.

Wonderful, comfy little place (not a yuppie hangout). Great place to enjoy sushi and other Japanese foods without having to put up with exorbitant prices. Free miso soup and hot green tea with your meal. All tastes excellent!

Seems like half of the customers at any given time are actually Japanese.
