About The Irish Schnitzel Food And Spirits
Owner and operators, John and Jill Martins' career exceeds twenty years of experience. John previously owned McGeady's Town Pub for more than 15 years. In the year 2008 John decided to renovate and consummate an idea of two restaurants under one roof, The Irish Schnitzel and Schottenheimer's Rathskellar. Each restaurant with like menus, but both with different atmospheres. John and Jill's idea unfolded at the old Monroe Diner building.
The restaurants' chef Ivan Currie is well prepared to ensure an excellent experience at either restaurant. The Irish Schnitzel is a family oriented restaurant with upscale features but not upscale pricing. The same menu enhances both restaurants with the advantage of enjoying a cocktail through the whole building.
Whether you would want an American classic or a special German or Irish dish, The Irish Schnitzel has what you are looking for. Combine well prepared food with an excellent staff, The Irish Schnitzel is a must try to every native and visitor of Monroe.

Diner reviews of The Irish Schnitzel Food And Spirits

We actually gave this place 6 different chances to impress us, but every time..disappointed. Our first visit was opening night. extremely slow service. Only 1/2 of the menu items were available and most weren't irish. the food was ok. We decided they just needed time. The next few times were during the Red Wings games. They offered free wings. each time, they ran out of wings within an hour. never replenished. We never got wings. decided to go one more time since someone gave us a restaurant.com gift certificate and the owner told us he can't honor them. He said restaurant.com was a scam and he never authorized them to offer discounts at the irish snitzel as it would put him out of business. He said other monroe restaurants felt the same. I have been using/purchasing these certificates for years. I called the other monroe restaurants that we have existing certificates for and they all honor them. In fact they thought it was peculiar that the irish snitzel behaved the way they did. Very cold and uninviting place I might add. So many other great places in Monroe. This one never measured up.

The best Steakhouse in the area. They may not call it a Steakhouse but I do. My meals have always been great, served timely and with great service. The Prime Rib should come with a doggie bag standard, even the small cut

Owner is confused. He thinks that chicken thighs are part of the "White Meat".
