DISHONEST with MENU & COUPON POLICY :
So Sad - When they opened, the food and prices were good.Then portions and quality declined.
BUT NOW : Tandoor Indian Grill – Centre Avenue Pittsburgh PA 15213 -- empty: Tried to use a Groupon coupon on Thursday May 12,2011. Received a menu but was told to ignore the prices on the Menu as all entrees were raised that day from $ 10.50 to $ 13.50 ( about 30 % increase ) except the LAMB ENTREES which were raised to $ 15.00.
( almost 50 % increase ).
I protested that I wanted to see the new Menu as I thought that it was unlawful to have persons purchase food and not SEE what it will cost. I was told by the harried waitress that the Manager told her , the Menus were still at the printer, I asked to talk to him . After about 30 minutes, the waitress came with a computer print out in minimized font – therefore unreadable in the very dim light of this restaurant.
I am disappointed that TANDOOR Indian Grill would use GROUPON Marketing as a ploy to raise their prices – and if so, are unprepared with the corrected Menus. This restaurant , formerly full, began to cut on portions last year , then charge for extra Samosa Sauce ( if requested ) and NOW IS ALMOST EMPTY. University students ( and my Senior friends ) are not stupid.
