Chef and proprietor, Alganesh "Sunshine" Kidane, brings years of experience in the hospitality and restaurant industry to the Petworth area of Northwest Washington, DC in an eatery that infuses the best of Ethiopian, International, and Tex- Mex cuisines. Sunshine's, as it is most commonly known, uses only the freshest ingredients and choice meats in their made fresh to order dishes. With three separate levels, guest can reserve the lower level for private functions or meetings, the main level serves as a bar and primary dining area, while the upstairs is more of a lounge which can also be reserved for private parties. There's an outside patio where guest can smoke while dining, or just enjoy the weather. Perfect for an intimate outing for two, gathering for family and friends after work, or to host your next special event, Sunshine's is also available to bring the party to you and cater your next event as well.
