Stopped at the Wood a few days ago and watched the owner George Melvin help some folks pump up their tubes to use down at the river.
Always a fun place with good food, cold beer, and an excellent wait staff.

Walked in on a summer saturday at 1:00 PM. The place was about two-thirds full of people fanning themselves with menus. It was very hot inside, and after waiting over 10 minutes for someone to at least take my drink order and tell me why service was so slow, I left. Great location, cool decor, terrible service, hot.

This little bar could be an exciting place to end an awesome motorcycle ride. Either the twisty canyon roads or the dirt bike trails surronding the area. The downside is poor customer service and unpredictable hours.
