This is a beautiful place but the service is lousy! The staff is friendly but we waited over 2 hours for our lunch. If it had not been a group event, we would've left after a reasonable wait. Even after such a long hungry wait for our meal, when it finally did arrive, it was brought out to the tables 3 plates at a time! We were one of the last tables to be served, so by the time the first person got their meal, we had decided to just cut it up and share a little with everyone, which we did with all of the 5 plates that were brought out over a half hour wait from the first plate to the last. Also, the french fries were cold by the time we got them.
love the food, the bartender's (Monica) ambience is great, half price app and drink specials at Happy Hour, on the water, what more could you ask for?

The South Winds has indoor and outdoor dining. The inside is classy, but we sat outside because the weather was beautiful. The Porch Pistols were playing a concert on at a poolside stage, so it was the best of both worlds. The music choice was original, not too loud, and was very entertaining, and no problem having conversations. The menu choices are fantastic, and the food is a step above most other places in that area (1 of 3 great restaurants). Sit inside for a quiet time with adequate sports TV coverage, or go outside for a poolside party atmosphere. I especially like the appetizers.
