This well-established taco shop cannot be missed. Decked in Mexico's tri-colors and generally loitered by hungry locals, San Felipe delivers authentic regional Mexican cuisine. The house specialties are unfailingly perfect. Mama's secret tamale recipe is crazy good with shredded chicken, raisins, potatoes and carrots. The verde version, which turns your masa green and cilantro and a tangy-spicy salsa verde, will have you moaning. The unique fresh fried halibut tacos - with cabbage, onion, tomato and a lime wedge topped with honey mustard - could perhaps be the best fish tacos in town. A full bar and case full of cervezas round out the deal, and while the atmosphere ain't no Chevy's, the warm welcome and great food more than make up for it.
