She owes her talents to her years of study at the Culinary Institute of Mexico in Puebla, where she graduated as Chef International. Originally from Toluca, Mexico, she developed her culinary skills by experimenting with new tastes and trends she discovered while traveling throughout her home country and across Europe.
Despite her youth, Chef Yanni (as she is known to clients and friends) gained priceless experience while working at the Ritz Carlton in Paris and at the Mayan Palace in both Acapulco and Cancun in Mexico. She completed her training at the Ecole de Paris Pattisserie Boulangere in Paris, France.
She decided to settle in Chicago and found work as a chef in the banquets area of the Art Institute of Chicago. Still in need of a proper outlet for her culinary artistry she dreamed of owning her own restaurant. Sabor Saveur opened their doors in October of 2009, and the future looks brighter and brighter every day!
