We went to Roms last weekend, and it was horrible.
My wife and I went to the salad bar, there was no bread left out, and we asked the server many times for bread. The tortellini soup was only broth and the red clam showder was just pototoes
and very little clams, the salad bar had absoultly no fixings, just green salad. The food
portions have dwindled in size and the Prices have increased by almost $2.00 per plate. My family has always gone to Rom's because we are local folks, but We are not going back, the service is horrible, and the buffet is crap. No wonder the Rossiolli Family is going under, the place is no longer being managed by MAMA, and the

We had reservations for 12, and there was also a party of 20 seated next to us. From the start our server was rushed and disorganized and we were never offered more than the water we first recieved and the drink order we place prior to our appetizer order. We were left to chew our ice cubes for the remainder of the evening. After our apps were served our server vanished and after 20 minutes we left looking for someone to take our order. A different server who did take our dinner orders but did not bring the drink refills we ordered and was also harried and disorganized. Our orders were incorrect and when we brought it to the servers attention she claimed it was our error, rather than offering to get the correct order.

I asked to speak with the mgr, at which point the servers were also standing by to serve up attitude and excuses and from that point on, no one came back to our table at all. There were no apologies - not even from the mgr. We were met with an attitude that we were an after thought and that somehow the lack of service was our fault for perhaps being there in the first place.

I'm sickened that we spent our hard earned money to pay for a meal and experience that in no way was a service to us as paying customers. We were completely aghast at the attitude of every person we encountered tonight from the hostess to the waitresses to the manager to the cashier. That we were even met with "attitude" is completely appalling and entirely inexcusable.

The food is a good representation of homemade Italian. I found their Bolognase sauce to be very tasty but their Alfredo sauce was thick and actually left me thirsty. The taste was good, but the texture was off. All meals I have had there are served with a side salad. You MUST love vinegar to eat this. Their dressing is mostly vinegar. Their sausages and meatballs are a good size and taste. The main seating is one large open room and sound carries really well. Also, depending on where you sit, the table will sway and dip with the floor as people walk by. Service can be a little slow, esp. if on a weekend. Tip: Make sure you have everything you need (including drink refills) before the waiter/waitress leaves your table after delivering your food. There is a good chance you won't see them again any time soon.
