The food is always great and very, very good value for the money. We have been here 5+ times and it's a really fun place to celebrate with family. We live in Algiers and it's definitely worth the drive!

Service was so bad nothing else mattered. Our waitress simply ignored us. Was dining with husband and mother in-law and it took us 2 1/2 hours to complete our meal. Drink refills never came. After waiting an hour for our salads the dinner came while still eating them. The salads didn't have croutons as did other tables. The waitress never checked on us and we had to flag her down for the check. She didn't know the menu and only recited half of the dessert items. We asked about an item we saw another table order and she said with no regrets "Oh Yea". One of the meals was described as having green peppercorns and it was smothered in capers. The waitress said she asked the kitchen about it and was told they were the same thing. Space is small and cramped so don't expect to be able to come with a group. Food was mediocre, prices were medium to high.

OMG BAD! Service was horrible, simple dinner took over 2 1/2 hours. I was with my husband and mother inlaw and the waitress simply ignored us. WORST Part, ordered veal piccata w/green peppercorns, received veal over angel hair smothered with capers. When we asked the waitress she said the "kitchen" told her green peppercorns WERE capers!!! OMG. Waitress forgot request for 2nd beer and I guess forgot order of onion soup since I had to ask for it after the salads were eaten and taken away and time had passed. It came a couple of minutes before the entree which was placed on the table while still eating the soup. Noticed other diners received croutons with their dinner salads, ours didn't. Menu said veal dishes came with pasta and veggie. Two veal dishes were ordered one came with green beans one without. Table was only partially cleared of dirty dishes when ordering dessert. We should have walked out when first 20 minutes had passed and no drink order was taken.

This is the best place that i have been in years as you walk up on a Friday ater noon they are waiting with wine for you to taste and great music i love this the food was the best a place for everybody to go good thing Le Parvenu left

I have been to the River House for dinner three times. The Crab cakes were very good (done mre in a Maryland style. Crab and Corn Bisque and Oyster Artichoke soupe were great. Prime Fillet of beef was top quality. The owners and managers are on top of the service, and the servers are professional and experienced. River House needs to distance its image from the previous restaurant at this location. I see that this website still lists them as still in business.
