My Fiance and I have eaten here many times before. We have always had a great meal and been surrounded by friendly people. The Garlic knots are amazing as well as any dish that is served.
Great food in abundance. Live entertainment on Fri & Sat nites bi monthly, and friendly atmosphere. A must in Newport News.
The food here is amazing!!!!!! Although they could work on the ambiance of the place a little. The service is great and the chefs have incredible skills and are very entertaining when they cook in front of you,and they're funny too! Definitely the best place to go for Hibachi food.
After shopping at First Tuesday, we decided to try something new (Nonna's, which was very close-by). The waitress was both friendly & knowledgeable - very impressive, actually. She gave us a brief history of the restaurant, then made some menu suggestions (always welcome in a new place). It was a Sa...
my family loves to eat here, great food, piping hot and you get a lot for your money!
My husband and I always have a great time. The salsa is wonderful, not too spicy but still with a little kick. We always are amazed at how much food you get for the price. Plaza is definitely the best deal in town and the best Mexican food I have ever eaten.
We had lunch delivered to our work. The food was very good, actually met the former owner. And she was right the BBQ was outstanding! The portions for your money was on point. It was the small detail that sets this restaurant apart, they separate your bread from the meat so your bread doesn't ge...
The service is truly outstanding and always with a bright smile and greeting. This restaurant permiates a down home family atmosphere, complete with down home family dishes and southern veggies. Yes, they even now serve deviled eggs!! Where can you get that every day at lunch and dinner? The hom...
This restaurant has the worst management ever. I have never been so disgusted with one human being as I was last night when I was trying to enjoy a meal with my parents and sister/brother-in-law. Apparently, if you've been going to the restaurant for 35 years you have the right to let your childre...
I have to say I have been to this place before and loved it, I live in the neighborhood and like taking friends to NON-CHAIN place for a good meal. However, my wife and I went 17 Sep 09 to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and things have changed... In the past they had all you could eat...
My husband and I had a great experience as we celebrated our 23rd Wedding Anniversary at Slightly Up the Creek. We just wanted to try a new place and have now found "OUR place". Tiffany was our server and soooo wonderful. The entire staff made us feel special. I really enjoyed the Snow Crab Legs...
I didn't know quite what to expect from a local restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. If you are a lover of seafood, this place is definitely for you. The prices were affordable, the staff friendly and my food was served hot. After the first night of dining on the freshest seafood I've had in ...
WORST restaurant I have encountered in the Hampton Roads area. The fries were dark brownish yellow as well as the onions. The navy bean soup was even non-edible. I sent back the fries and the same ones returned. It is very unhealthy food because of the grease breakdown effect on the heart. DO N...

I ordered a porterhouse & the fillet looked like the cook chewed it off TOO THE BONE. This for $25.00 NO WAY! They could have called it a New York Strip with bone in. Salad warm, kids food cold.. I wanted my fillet with my porterhouse and when I complained the best they could do is say "That is what...

Good food and cool ambiance...especially for the kids!! It's a regular stop when we're in the area. We last went on a Monday evening and there were at least 3 other tables with kids...however, there were these folks from Middlesex county with unreasonable demands who seemed to disapprove of childre...
