Excellent dinner menu! Out standing scallops and deserts.
This place is awesome. If you haven't tried the Blackened Tilapia. WOW! It is the best I have EVER had... I mean Ever...
I am a widower and apart from the usual crap fast food restaurants I make it a point to dine out to please my taste buds at least every other week along with my "care giver". Fishmonger's has been on my circuit for years (even before I fell to my present state) IMO the best part of going to Fi...
Fishmonger was for many years one of our favorites. This was prior to the move across the parking lot. The last 2 times we went in.... not so good. It was my favorite place for a dinner salad. They used to have chilled plates and the freshest lettuce ever. I started chilling my plates at home be...
I have been going to Fishmongers for about 20 years. The reviewer from Wylie must be thinking of another restaurant. In all that time, Fishmongers has never even had sugarbowls on the table, only packets. So the cockroaches must belong to some other restaurant they went to. Fishmongers in our opini...
The standard of food has definately gone down. Used to be great and now it's just average, tastes like frozen. Since the move has lost the atmosphere. Would not go back.
Started with oysters which were a little watery, not much flavor. Combo appetizer plate was ok but obviously prebought frozen. Catfish was limp, again frozen. Pasta was good. Would not recommend this reataurant.
Horrible experience the fish was not good the french fries was hard and dried out, the service was lousy. will never ever go back, told lots of friends about my experience.
This place has excellent food, especially for the money. They have a few items that CANNOT be beat anywhere else and is where they far surpass anyone in that dish---red beans and rice, tortilla soup, blue cheese dressing, bread pudding (I do not even like bread pudding---but their's is to die for), ...
I AM A FORMER EMPLOYEE AND MUST SAY I AM BLOWN AWAY BY SOME OF THE REVIEWS. YES FISHMONGERS IS A BIT PLAIN IN THE AMBIANCE DEPARTMENT, BUT IT IN NO WAY AFFECTS THE TASTE OF THE FOOD!!! EVERYTHING IS FRESH, DELIVERED NEAR DAILY. THE RECIPES ARE HOME COOKED FAMILY TRADITIONS, AND THE SERVERS ARE WARM...
We have been going to Fishmongers ever since it opened. We have never had a bad meal.Personally I am partial to anything with their Ponchartrain sauce. The servers are excellent. Their Red Beans & Rice and Fries and salad with the spicy house dressing are excellent. We've seen the prices rise over t...
Blackened catfish was wonderful,so as bread pudding.Very good service.
My family and i came in for the first time last night, the place was packed. There was about a 10 minute wait, but it was no problem, the young man at the door was very kind and entertained our son while we waited for a table. Our waitress, reccomended the Mahi Mahi which was amazing and with the sa...
Woefully painful experience. I've been a 15 year patron and have watched the quality and service steadily decline. Tonight, the service was lackluster at best and disinterested to be kind. The food (coconut shrimp and fried shrimp) tasted like it was leftover from lunch and refried. Same story o...
The food was decent, the waitress i had was Terrible. I would never go back just because of the service.
I've been going to Fishmongers for more than 20 years now. The quality hasn't changed even as they grew. Try the Baked Ocean Scallops or the Crawfish Etuoffee, it's the best Etuoffee I've had anywhere. It's made with good, spicy dark brown roux, not the clear roux so many places in Dallas use....
Friends and I were anticipating a wonderful seafood meal this past Sunday night and were very disappointed. There were only a few patrons, so we were seated immediately and placed our order within a few minutes of arriving. I had shrimp and scallops on a skewer. The fish was dry and obviously overc...
This is a very nice restaurant. Good food, nice service.
The food was ok...nothing special. The thing that bothered me was the fact of cockroaches in the sugar bowl on my table and a roach climbing up the wall beside my table. I couldnt finish my meal. so at this point I would NOT recommend this resturant to anyone.
Terrible dinner experience. We had the featured special which was Grilled Halibut. It was the worst fish I ever had and covered with pepper and spice, so even if it was eatable it would have been overpowered by the pepper. My friend had the other special and it was swimming in oil or some type o...
