I've eaten at this restaurant many times. It is in a league of its own when it comes to country/southern cooking. Nothing in Greensboro or the surrounding area compares. Portion servings are large, the daily menus are varied, and the service is a cut above. I highly recommend it.
The best pancakes in the world. And fantastic country food; and all at a sm. cost to your wallet or purse. The pancakes have tiny bubble holes in them and taste like cotton candy. The best time to get there is 7:15 am for cakes; and after 2pm for the country style food.
Have you had Tomatoe and Cheese Pie lately? Well Coliseum serves it regularly. Its excellant!
It is a wonderful , fun kidloving place and adults will love it !!
I love this restaurant! The food is excellent, unusual and flavorful. The "house" red wine was disappointing - spend a little more to get something better. Restaurant is small (cozy) but not too loud (though it seems always full) and the service was superb. A bit pricey but worth it for the trea...
Thai Garden, though not as large or as flashy or expensive as many other Thai restaurants in Greensboro, is by far my favorite. The food is actually better than many of the others, and costs much less. The service is exquisite and the atmosphere is pleasant.
Great atmosphere for a business meal or to wind down after a long meeting. I especially recommend the shrimp and grits MINUS the hot sausage. Their salads are great. All their fish plates are excellent. Blackened catfish -- extraordinary. Spicy.
There are lots of awful chinese restaurants in Greensboro. I come back to China Cafe over and over. Their steamed dumplings are awesome as is their General Tzo's chicken. If you order for delivery, make sure you speak slowly!
Go for the authentic food, not the ambiance. Not the usual Mexican Restaurant formula. Excellent value. Lots of wonderful seafood entries. Try the Ceviche Tacos for a light lunch.
This is a staple to the Greensboro dining scene. It is located right in the middle of UNCG on Spring Garden. There is plenty of parking for those who don't walk there from campus. If you experience this correctly (and you should) go up the counter and grab the attention of one of the employees and t...
This place has the best chili & cheese dog I've ever had. It is definitely messy as the previous reviewer stated, but the taste more than makes up for it. Their ice cream is great as well. I had some of the best strawberry ice cream here. Great place for a quick bite!
My new Bert's since they have gone down hill. 1618 only has one problem. Occasionally they get so fru-fru that nothing on the menu looks good. Do not let that deter you. The menu changes constantly, so some days are better than others. When they have something you like it is done to perfection. And...
Akashi is THE best sushi place in Greensboro. It's family owned and operated. It is some of the most authentic Japanese cuisine I have had anywhere in the piedmont. If you are looking for TRUE Japanese food, I recommend Akashi.
My husband and I stopped in to this restaurant and eight years later this is the only Japanese Restaurant that we go to. Always the absolute best in every category.
This is a great place to eat. Customer Service is excellent. All the waiters and servers are very nice and friendly. The food is great and at a great price. You also get free chips and salsa, how about that.
Our favorite Mexican restaurant!! We usually eat there at least twice a week.
We have been dining at El Carreton for years. It is the favorite place of my two boys. The folks there are truly special, Divina is simply the best. Good margaritas too.
A reasonably priced, cozy place with great selection of vegetarian and vegan asian inspired dishes. Many have the option of having mock chicken, beef, duck, and shrimp added in addition to the typical tofu choice. The "chicken" is very tasty and impressively close to the real thing. The boba teas ar...
I love this place! I went a lot during Lent and discovered that the food there was delicious, and it had no meat. I'm not at all a vegetarian, but I do think that the food here is wonderdful. The Hula Pot is the best... go for the brain damage. YUM!
