Enjoyed a great dinner last evening. It was a first visit for me. The group recommended it. It is an up scale place, great location easy parking and they will take reservations. I will visit often because the food was excellent (FYI - all 4 of us agreed GREAT Food) and the price was very af...
My husband's breakfast group meets there every Thursday morning and has been for months. They love the food and staff. We have had both lunch and dinner there many times and have hosted our car group luncheon of 50+ people there with wonderful success. Fun menu- great food- strong dinner menu- bee...
We have often dined at this location. Last Saturday night we arrived and were given a 15 minute wait. Resturant was not full, staff short. While waiting several couples were seated, a group of 8 prom night kids were seated and we were the last one seated. Still less than 30 minutes. However, after 1...

Real "back home" cooking. Get a table overlooking the mountains...great view. The food could be better but it's plentiful and good. Try the pinto bean "side"...better than Cracker Barrel's.

Food is about average for a country cafe. Don't go there for lunch between 11:00 and 12:30. You will have a 20-30 minute wait in a tight area. This restaurant is about the noisiest I have ever been in. As far as breakfast goes, everything is OK except the dark brown gravy. Too overcooked. Great valu...

There's almost always a line at the Moose Cafe and for good reason. If you're lucky, you'll get to sit in the back room with large windows looking out on the beautiful Biltmore Estate and blue ridge mountains and folk art covering ht walls. Once you pick your meat and three dinner form their menu of...

I have been dying to try this restaurant since moving to Asheville and finally went today. I hate to say it, but I am a huge fan of Cracker Barrel and was truly hoping that this was better. I would MUCH rather go somewhere run by locals. I ordered chicken and dumplings (my fav), mashed potatoes a...

Whenever we pass through Asheville we go to the wonderful Farmers Market and we(husband, me, 3 kids) love to stop at the Moose Cafe. Fried chicken good. Their smoked porkchops are great, moist, comforting. The pinto beans and their own label chow chow are also great. But it would be enough reason to ...

We were traveling home and stopped for breakfast. It was a delicious breakfast and still remember your cafe. We especially loved your apple butter and bought an extra jar to take home. Unfortunately, it isn't available to buy on line and I live in New York. That's a great disappointment.I would order...

Would recommend
This is a wonderful buffet for Asian food, including Chinese, Sushi and Korean specialties, including a Mongolian-type grill. Dinner is more elaborate with better choices than lunch (although more expensive), and they have a great dessert buffet as well.
I found some great calabash-style seafood here! Very family friendly and great specials! Free drink and ice cream with kids entrees and check out their great deals to go! $22.99 will feed 6 people!!!

I've had much better country cooking than this. Food was rather bland and poorly cooked. I actually found a piece of plastic in my mashed potatoes! Service was friendly but we were mostly forgotten about. We won't be going there again.

We visited twice and really wanted to like this restaurant. Many good qualities: The apple butter/biscuits are great. The menu is southern, but varied, with lots of options for kids, who eat free after 4pm. The food is plentiful and the prices reasonable. The ambiance is simple, country kitschy but ...
THE TASTE IS VERY GOOD BUT THE FOOD IS ALWAYS COLD. IF IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE HOT IT SHOULD BE. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT? I THOUGHT FOOD WAS SUPPOSED TO BE KEPT AT 200f. THIS WAS MY FAVORITE RESTURANT BUT WE HAVE ALMOST QUIT GOING. THEM WE WILL TRY AGAIN & FOOD IS ALWAYS COLD.
I have no idea how Appolo Flame keeps winning the "best of" distinctions. Let me first give the positives... The service is fast and friendly. The atmosphere is easygoing and the setup seems good for families. The portions of food you get for the $$$ are unreal. If you're just talking about pure qua...

Food was OK for the price. They advertise for free kids meal after 4 - not true. They will still charge you even after asking them about it. Not very nice especially if you're just passing through and on the budget. Over rated, country fried steak mediocre, not very clean, servers acts like it'...

A very fine eatery!
This review will disagree with many who disagree with me. From my perspective, some of the worst restaurant food I've eaten has come from Apollo Flame. The sauces are unbelievably salty and the food not terribly appealing overall. It is a very family & kid friendly restaurant. The ambience is ...
I think the quality of their food is way below average. However, taste is a subjective matter. What is NOT a subjective matter are poor food sanitation practices that result in food poisoning. My husband ordered the Spaghetti with Sausage, Peppers and Onions. He had a couple of bites and said ...
