This was the 4th or 5th time I've been to Ruth's and I will continue to return. It was my wife's birthday and they treated her to a complimentary dessert with a candle and it was a special night. Ruths Chris is by far the best restaurant from start to finish. Our favorite is the filet.
The food is authentic to taste, and the atmosphere is cordial. There is a great vegetarian buffet or you can order from the menu. The chef can prepare Northern and Southern Indian flawlessly!

This is a friendly place with a college atmosphere just of the U of M campus. It is more for sandwiches and beer than full dinners, though you can do that too. Most of the better sandwiches run in the $6.00-$12.00 range. Watch the chili-very tasty but extremely hot.
I haven't been to "Sturb's" in decades, so can't speak to what it is like now. Used to love the free popcorn, ambience, and friendly staff.

I went for takeout, craving curry. We'd had once before, years ago and it was better then.
When I ordered, I had a cup of chai. It was clearly black tea with milk. Couldn't detect a spice if you paid me. I ordered 2 entrees, puppadoms, said I need rice and the gentleman recommended the Biryani. ...
Its like eating ready-to-eat veggie.
