great food, a downtown Lansing institution. Only issue is parking, YIKES!!! Hopefully as soon as downtown street construction is completed it will be easier to park

A classic, straight forward sub shop. A little limited in variety but what they give you is a hearty satisfying sandwich. Worth trying
While this isn't any sort of real sit down restaurant, it is the only place to go if you want the best sub in town.
I am original from East Lansing now living in Richmond and my only goal in life is to find a sub place in town that even compares to Jersey Giant's. The best sub anywhere!

I am Thai. The food from Lamai is extremely close to being "authentic", provided that the food is served right away, and not had been "sitting" in buffet style. Cleanliness is a noteworthy concern based on my previous experience from her old establishment.
Try the spring Rolls They're amazing
This is the same Lamai who had a restaurant in North Lansing (Old Town)and I was delighted to see that she had opened in a new location. This is the best Thai food I've ever had, and I've sampled it a lot of places. The buffet has fantastic food and great variety at a reasonable price.
We ordered takeout. The beef and broccoli was overpriced for the amount. They also told us that it came with rice but they didn't give us any. The food is really delicious. The Generals Chicken is exceptionally good here. The chef has an incredible blend of seasonings and textures that make this restaurant stand out above the rest.
The food at this restaurant is excellent. We go once a week at least to eat their General's Chicken and Chicken Leu Mein. I highly recommend it, it is the best Chinese restaurant I've eaten at.

My family eats here once or twice a week. Sometimes just for soup. The staff is very knowledgable and very fun. Try the dim-sim on Saturday or Sunday. Ask the staff for help making your selections.
