Great food. Great prices. Fresh, not fast. Great staff, with attitude.
It was a three. Really, I had expected more from what has been considered the best restaurant in Lowell. But I've read mixed reviews from trusty blog www.thesunblog.com/gourmetgal, so I should have known better.
Not much of a restautant, but I swear I could feel Jacl Kerouac's presense in there. The type of lace that everyone has to visit at least once!
basic breakfast with grouchy service
The new owners have plummeted a once fine Italian restaurant into a deep hole from which it shall never recover. The service was slow, food was below average, ordered an item only to have the waitress/barmaid return to say they did not have anymore. The menu is limited and the choices uninspired. ...
The only thing worse than the food was the service (and that was a low bar to get under). The food combined elements that simply did not go (Veal Chop with Scallop) and was completely void of texture. The Pizza aspired to be a crisp as raw liver.

To put it simply, the owner is rude. I got into an argument with him about being able to use my credit card. I could care less if he has to shell out two dollars whenever cards are swipped.
