Restaurant Description

Fortunato's Italian Restaurant isan award-winning restaurant in historic downtown Lowell, Massachusetts. We specialize in authentic Italian cuisine – homemade to order – and aged beef Angus steaks. Our atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. Patrons can dine in the main dining room, the second floor, or, if the season and weather are right, out on the cobblestone patio. Come, sit back and enjoy live jazz music while you dine on our delicious italian dishes.

I went to Fortunato's this past Sunday with some girlfriends. It was lovely, we shared a bottle of wine and two of my friends tried a special martini....yummy. next time. The food was great, I had the lobster ravioli which is in a great sauce, not too heavy but still pretty rich. We also split a couple of tiramisus which were served kind of unexpectadly in parfait glasses (?) but turned out to be delicious! (we were a little skeptical). We were hoping for live music, but i guess it doesn't happen on sundays anyway, looking forward to going on a friday or saturday for entertainment as well.

The new owners have plummeted a once fine Italian restaurant into a deep hole from which it shall never recover. The service was slow, food was below average, ordered an item only to have the waitress/barmaid return to say they did not have anymore. The menu is limited and the choices uninspired. Run don't walk away from Fortunato's

Fantastic food, plenty of it, and very affordable. Very nice atmosphere, we have to go again, Also their outside patio looks great it does remind me of little Italy with tables about side on the cobblestone. The arts on the walls amazing, the service outstanding, also I had my wife birthday party in their private room it is a great place to have your private parties. Also they give allot of surprises, a family oriented place. Defiantly I recommend it highly.
