A great place for a pint and some fish'n'chips. The menu was just expanded and the prices went up a bit but it is still worth every penny. The food is great, the staff is wonderful, and the setting is beautiful. It is usually very crowded so be ready to fight for a seat. The staff does not assi...
Great small italian restaurant. Good menu selection and specials. My family has enjoyed several meals here.
Really it is the best fondue you will find in the city!!! Its served in the traditional style and the service is top notch. You are able to have a great dining experience as a couple or with a group. While the meal does take time, it really allows you to spend time with those special people in you...
My wife and I flew in from Boston that day just to go to Geja's Cafe (The 9 year anniversary of our first date). We put our name on the list at 6:30pm and at 9:30pm still had not been seated despite checking in with hostess on occasion. Not one employee apologized or sypathized with us. So we left ...
We have gone to Gejas several times, yes you have to wait due to the popularity of this wonderful dining experience !!!! very romantic, very good food, just cant be in a hurry, one drawback i have to admit is their bathroom size !! large lines ladies !!! overall we will continue to dine there, co...
One of the most romantic restaurants in Chicago(if you get a booth). A booth is a must for a romantic, secluded setting. I'd suggest making reservations so you don't have to wait. I've never gone without reservations but based on the other reviews I'd assume it's a long wait. The food is also ex...
Great old fashioned restaurant - if you want something out of an old Chicago setting movie, this is it. Usually a wait, but sidle up to the bar and people watch and the wait is worth it. The servings are plentiful, with great steaks. I haven't tried the pastas, but they also seem to be huge portio...
One of the country's best steak houses. Old time Chicago. Great crowded bar with lots of hussle & bussle. You'd think Al Capone was going to walk in any minute! Don't miss the garbage salad.
Was looking for Al to walk in also! Fantastic old Chicago feel!! If you are in Chicago, make this your first stop!
We don't visit Chicago without an evening in Gibson's. Have waited an hour for a table with a reservation and still no complaints! Outstanding lobster and steak combo.
Gino's East is definitely a taste of true Chicago deep dish pizza! The pizza is super-cheesy and delicious and you'll likely need to unbutton your jeans after you leave! The atmosphere is quite different than any other restaurant, since guests are invited to add to the graffiti on the walls (IF yo...
It is the best sushi restaurant in Chicago. It is a little one, but they serve perfect sushi.
(I am visiting Chicago 3 -4 times an year for business and Ginza is always one stop worth.)
Ginza Restaurant is simply the most authentic Japanese restaurant in Chicago. Its food, atmosphere are down to earth and really appealing to all who appreciate "real" Japanese food.
I would agree with the other chicago reviewer: Going to Ginza is like being back in Japan (although I haven't been able to check out the tatami rooms yet). And if you read Japanese and are familiar with the cuisine, don't forget to ask for the additional Japanese menu.
I love good German food and have eaten at Glunz a few times in the last 3 years. Mostly I've been satisfied at the place. This last time, however, I was quite disappointed. There were tiny flies in my salad (no kidding), and the service was definitely not up to par. We had to ask the waitress to...
Goose Island used to be a wonderful neighborhood brewpub but with the growth of the Lincoln Park neighborhood this establishment has begun to suffer -- most notably in the area of service. My most recent visit was by far one of the most excruciating experiences of my life. I was seated in the bar ar...
Greek Islands is one of my all time favorite resturants to eat at. The wonderful waitors bring life to your eating experience there. Its fun and the food is excellent.
Came up from Kentucky and took family (even baby) to the Parthenan. A completely good experience. The place was active and noisy which allows all types of groups to enjoy the atmosphere. You can enjoy dinner for two or blow the lid off with a large group. The servers were excellent and made me f...
I really like their crispy chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato only. I hate their hamburgers, and their fries are soggy. I like the curly fries.
The Hard Rock Cafe is a most interesting place to visit. Not only can you eat great food (especially the fries) you can also view a museum of memorablia. I reccomend this restaurant to the upbeat person who just wants to have a good time.
