The Chicago Diner is absolutely one of the very best vegetarian restaurants in the Chicagoland area. Their menu is varied and their vegan desserts are absolutely wonderful. The cuisine at the Diner is mostly vegetarian (and vegan) adaptations of American comfort food. They have a reuben sandwic...

Being from a small town in Ohio I came to Chicago with great expectations of a world-renowned city. Scoozi! was my favorite dining experience in the 3 months I was in the city. All the way from a comfortable, romantic setting to superb service and hospitality, Scoozi! is the type of restaurant to wr...

Again if you get to go to Uno's, Duo's or Lou Malnotti's the Pizza is to die for. The space is cramped in Duo's and across the street is Uno's so if one is packed (always) the other will take your name to. Or go to Lou Malnotti's a fab pan pizza don't miss it.

The Pizza is excellant if you've had Lou Malnotti's pizza you will close your eyes and know the chef works at both places. They are identical in the deep dish pizza dept. Wonderful fabulous pizza the best in the world.

I live in Cleveland, and have made special trips to Chicago for lunch at the diner. The atmosphere is cozy, the food is terrific, and the staff is wonderful!

This has to be one of the best retaurants for vegans in America if not the world. The second time I went there I skipped all first and second courses and just went straight for the pudding! There are just so many desserts and they are incredible. The vegan cheesecake is the best I have ever eaten...

Excellent choice of foods for vegans and vegetarians. A great variety of dishes, salads, natural/fresh drinks, etc. My personal favorite is the Tofu Scrambler!! They also have a location in Highland Park, Illinois.
Not fine dining, but your typical Greek-owned Chicago neighborhood restaurant. Nothing special but OK for breakfast.

There are better places to go in Chicago for German food but you cant beat the Brauhaus for fun, cheesey, hoaky atmosphere and overall fun. The band is light and fun and I have always had a great time. The food is only average but the kitchen is spotless.

Beer garden is great and they have a good selection of beers but I think that the food at Lascet's Inn (across the street and one block west) is far better and the prices are more reasonable. Dont ever expect a free drink from Resi's owners either, even after dropping a few hundred dollars there. ...
This place has great Colombian food!!! My wife (who is from Medellin) says that 90+% of the dishes are totally authentic. The hostess/owner is very, very friendly, and the service is great. Typically, my wife and I get out for under $30. FYI, Colombian food is generally quite plain (mean, chicke...
For a resturant in the Loop, it has the best value fo the food.
Very good food! Terrific menu available all day and night.
A place to take your sweetheart or your customers to have a wonderful meal - been there more than 10 times in visits to Chacago. It has great food and as it is in an old mansion, there are many small classy rooms - so you can enjoy the evening without having to shout at everyone. Also do not rush yo...

Good food, service and presentation; made my guests (customers) comfortable; nice atmosphere - class, some dishes seemed expensive (maybe not by Chicago standards); nice live backround jazz; backround noise level lower than most of the popular sites.

Had a really an exceptional experience with my husband last week. He is a vegetarian and he was in HEAVEN. My favorite was their sturgeon, carrot salad and strudel. Incredibly cordial service. Will be back!

I have had the pleasure of both eating in and working in this restaurant. I am from Ireland and I love the standard of service in Chicago. The Artisits is a quaint little diner and even though the food is basic the service is exquisite. I get pangs of nostalgia all the time.

I enjoyed the old town feel of this restaurant. The closeness of the tables made it a little cramped, but that ended up adding to the restaurant's charm. The pizza was like none I had ever experienced. It was almost drowning in tomato juices from the freshly cut tomatoes on the top layer; definit...
