Huli chicken and ribs to go, try it when you're here, a unique Hawaii experiance.
This place is good for quick, plain, (ala Denny's,) American food...burgers, pizza, steak, etc. Has a small full bar.
Delightful. Food was delicious and the service was rediculously friendly. Plus the manager is very respectable and of good values.
BEST PRIME RIB on the Big Island!! The owners and
employees work very hard to please all of their
customers. we were reffered by our friends from Australia, we sure can use this kind of Aloha
in England. Keep up the excellent work!!!
CHEERIO from Surrey England
Great Ahi sandwich. Special ice cream too. Location very special.
We call this place "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe" and recommend it to anyone contemplating visiting the big island. It is indeed at the intersection of civilization and volcanic destruction. The plate lunches are the best, they will not reveal their recipe for macaroni salad, and have...
We love the Ono burgers and the mac salad. The place has mucho aloha. The ocean is right across the road and we hiked to the place where we saw the lava flowing into the ocean. Actually, we saw a steam cloud with spurts of red lava in it.We have a place in Waa Waa, we love it so much!!Make sure t...
Luquins is a great restaurant. The food is very good and the portions are ample. Last night, I picked up a $59 order for carryout. I had a 10% off coupon from the local phone book. The cashier at the front cranked up her calculator and cranked and cranked. The cashier came up with a bill of $57...
Luquin's has been in business several years in a quaint old hotel. This is the biggest restaurant in town. They have developed a very diverse menu. Along with traditional tex-mex, they serve tofu and fish entrees, fried chicken, steak, hamburgers, and have a full bar- try a lilikoi or li hing mui ma...
authentic mexican food in a hole-in-the-wall homely setting, yummy homemade salsa and guacamole
The food is inexpensive, delicious and dished up attractively in very generous portions. The service is great and the margaritas with Mango and strawberry are outstanding! The water in the restrooms is COLD only and i had no soap in the Men's room only. We live in Wisconsin and ate there three...
tell me what you put in your lilikoi magarita
you are the bomb.........the best.........
Had dinner a few times now @ luquins and Loved everything about it!! The food, the service. Will be going back soon! Thanks.
ate here for the first time about a month ago and we plan on many return trips. finally a spot with good food for a great price - can actually take the family out without breaking the budget! when I'm craving some authentic and tasty Mexican food - this is the spot!
Very popular locally, tasty. Service a little slow. Don't order hot unless you really like genuine Thai style!
The chop suey house has been a fixture in Pahoa for many years now. Although the setting leaves much to be desired, (an old run-down gas station)the food here is very good and huge portions. The most popular entree is Bert's special. for about $6.25 you get about a pound each of lemon chicken and sh...
Service was horrible. The bartender was rude and mean. Did not greet us nor smile when serving our meal. It was absolutely unacceptable. The waitresses were laughing when we were asked to move tables because the table we chose was reserved (even though it did not say reserved.) Our drinks were ...
The food was alright but not great. Service was alright. We got a little concerned when the waiter disappeared for 20 minutes and returned carrying a McDonald's bag.
I'm a fish sandwich & eggs Benedict fan. Both can be rather hard to find on east side of Big Isle. Pahoa's Cafe gets seafood frozen, but it's good. Go to Malama Mkt seafood shop for better value & less ambiance. Chef Jake makes perfect eggs on weekends. Just really sad they can't be fresh & local .....
American style breakfast and lunch, rare in Pahoa.
