Daily special is also "must check" item. It was nice to have Japanese restaurant near by Hilo town. Location was a little hard to find but large parking. I have been visiting since first trip to Hilo.
Angry and sullen owner, bad microwaved food, overpriced, dirty, and although it used to be good, I cannot think of a worse choice for eating in Hilo nowadays. It has gotten that bad in the last few months. We are relatively sure that they will be bankrupt soon, nobody goes there from the local crowd...

This is a fish farm, so the fish is excellent. The portions are huge and everything is fresh, fresh. Japanese influenced. Very popular, recommend reservations. Heard the mullet was excellent, I did not try.
