I have no clue what all you can eat in Macon, GA has to do with starving people in China, but I'm sorry you didn't enjoy this restaurant. Either way, I posted to say that CORKY BELL'S WILL BE REOPENING IN THE NEXT WEEK just off of Tom Hill Sr. Blvd., in the building that used to house Backyard Burg...
I have been eating at this restaurant since I was 10 years old and I just turned 30 and have never had a bad experience there. The food has always been good and the service has always been some of the best I have ever experienced,I've received better service here on a regular basis than I ever have a...
I have always loved Corky Bell's, I almost started to cry when I heard that it was closed. I quickly jumped for joy after leaning that it had reopened. The food was great as usually,I only experience one problem, and that was that my mother's food came out burnt! I don't know why anyone would send o...
Corky Bell's name came from two people. Two brothers went in business together and could not see eye to eye and separated.Though besides the name I would like to state the former owner had employees that had gave him 18+years of workmanship and shrived hard for the success it had became. With NO not...
Very good food, Im shocked that they are closed down. Please let everyone know if you open up some where else please.

This was a real find! The cigar smoke in the bar when we walked in was a real turn-off, but we couldn't smell it once we got past the hostess. It was an intimate atmosphere. The prices were moderately high, but the food was incredible.
The food and ambience was great upstairs. They have a buffet now with great choices.
I cannot review the food because I have been unable to eat here. I bought a $50 gift certificate from restaurant.com at a reduced price and called for a reservation on Sunday, 28 Sep 2008 for two. The restaurant called me Saturday evening, 27 Sep 2008 to say two staff members were sick and they need...
Our overall experience wasn't great. Service was very dry, and also very slow. We were greeted promptly, but not seated timely. I felt a hint of akwardness throughout the restaurant. After seating there was no further service provided. Maybe under staffed or poorly organized. After 15mins of waiting,...
Before heading out to try this fairly new restaurant I was looking forward to having something nice, new, fresh, and classy in Macon.
I was sadly disappointed from the moment I walked into the front door covered with red paper. We were promptly seated in a comfortable booth.

We went on New Years Eve...we had to call 5 times just to be able to speak with someone that could make a reservation...when we got there we found out that there was no "reservation system" just a piece of notebook paper...that should have been our 1st clue...we had to wait about 10 min to be seated...
I really enjoyed the whole dinning experience. And will go back...again & again.
An overall great experience. Will be a repeat customer.
i love franny's its amazing :)
Although in a old bldg. this southern food is as good as i or any good southern cook could possibly do. We don't have to stand up and do the work. The Alman Brothers love it still. Too many compliments to even try to start!!
Good food small portions. Waitstaff nice enough. The restaurant was busy. Why the restarant are so skimpy with it's portions makes sense to me so THEY can save money. However, only folks with small appetites or some senior citizens would revisit establishment.
The food was very good although the portion size was small.
