This is the best spot on Fort Lauderdale Beach! Great food (try the crab dip), awesome cocktails (try the jungle juice!) friendly service! Highly recommended and will definitely be back!
loved it! best mahi i've ever eaten. the staff was incredible; all the servers were friendly and GORGEOUS. the only thing better than the service was the amazing ocean view. highly recommended! - Carolina :)

This is truly a place where you get real Jamaican food. Everything I've ordered is good and it's always fresh. The hospitality is great! Whenever you're in the area, please check it out!

Awesome deli fare. The pickles are the best! From chopped liver to cole slaw, great food. Not cheap though.

I had a terrible experience at this restaurant, first place I have a sit, I found on the table the dirty spam, second place when they bring my breakfast to the table I found a human hear in my eggs, if this Is not enough, the manager got mad at my because I told to him I don’t want anything else, h...

I am usually here when there's a big breakfast rush. This is an alternative to Denny's, and they make a good waffle (when removed from the iron before it becomes cardboard.) Like many restaurants, however, they "pre-cook" the breakfast meats, again--just like denny's. I have found bacon on occasi...

One of the best breakfast and lunch spots in Broward County, but be prepared to wait in line if you get there on an early Saturday or Sunday morning. You can't find better or more friendly waitresses, and the food comes fairly quickly, even when it's packed. If you go there once, you'll keep comin...

Having been to many diners in the area, I have found Duffy's to be one of the best. I am always made to feel 'at home', with it's friendly, welcoming staff. The meals are served quite quickly, always looking fresh, with real 'home-cooked' quality.(best chicken noodle soup ever tasted!) Breakfast or...

This is a great place for simple and delish diner food. Biscuits and gravy----YUM. corned beef hash and poached eggs, two of my favorites. Not fancy, so come as you are... Never been disappointed c.v. fort lauderdale

I NEVER miss a trip to Ernies when I go back to Ft Lauderdale. I grew up on Ernies and it is a must to have some packed on dry ice and brought back to Texas with me on the plane. This is my kind of Bar B Q! I have my brother picking up another load of yummies this week (10/2005) and it is being d...

I first visited Ernies when on a British aircraft carrier in 1978. We found it by chance & it then became our "local" in Ft Lauderdale. Terrific staff, great clientlle in the upstairs bar! I took my wife there in 2004 & although the faces had changed, it was still a great place. I stil have an Ernie...

Ernie's is not a dining experience.. its a life changing experience.. the locals know that the conch chowder and bahamanian bread are kick butt but the ambience of a ft lauderdale institution.. legend has it that jimmy buffett has to have ernies conch chowder when he's in town.. the painting on the ...

Ernie's, to me Dirty Ernie's from my formative years is not a restaurant, but an institution. A unique dining experience that is hands down my all time favorite restaurant! Conch chowder comparable to none other, along with bimini bread, pork, beef or brisket, and covered in that magical barbeque ...

Back in the 70's we called this place "Dirty Ernies", with words of wisdom and pictures painted on the walls, wooden picnic tables inside, and menu's hand written on paper plates ... Ernie passed away years ago but the food is still the same, spectacular! A real treat! Get a pork sandwich, fritters,...

As stated in the other reviews, Dirty Ernie's (nee "Ernie's Restaurant & Rooftop Bar" for the tourists) is a long time Fort Lauderdale tradition. I remember back in the 80's & early 90's when that section of Federal Highway was a bit seedier & hookers used to walk the streets; Ernie's stopped offer...
