I went to Taj Mahal yesterday only because I bought a $25 certificate from Restaurant-dot-com specifically for dining in Taj Mahal. However, the waitress would not accept it. Atmosphere is dingy with 1980's decor and restaurant is dirty and unkempt. Food consisted of too small portions-- and everything was over salted. Chicken tikka masala (the typical signature dish for such a restaurant) was the worst I've ever had by a mile. Dead on a Friday night with apathetic waite...
Have never had a bad meal anytime we've stopped there for dinner. I have a relative that lives in Putnam and he makes sure he gets pizza at Pizza palace evrytime he's in town to visit.

Delicious, inexpensive, clean upbeat decor, fast and friendly. Could not have asked for better. We are using this as our official BEST food spot on our journeys on 84 to and from NYC.
They have excellent huge giant grinders.You get your moneys worth.I've been going to Anthony's for 28 years.

true new york deli. great food plan on a wait for a table at meal time. when in the area our flamily always stops for the great sandwiches and pickles. the deli is an hour from home.
