I had heard that this was the number one Italian restaurant in the city. I have since corrected those who misinformed me. The service of the entire staff that we encountered, from hostess to floor manager, was so bad that we did not stick around for the food. I had never before experienced such a...
I have to agree with the other review on this site. The service is the worst! We, however, stayed around for the food, which was OK but terribly overpriced.
Capps has very average Italian food. It seems to cater to the tourist crowd who do not know about the other great Italian restaurants in North Beach. I would not recomend eating at Capps. Try anyplace else in North beach and you will do better. The only think worth eating there is their creamy it...

We were transport into Italy, with autentic Italian food and atmophere, nice portions and good price.
We are looking for to go back and have that great Lasagna or Linguine Pescatore with a glass of Machiavelly Chianty.
