This is a nice place to take our families.
I have been going to Chang's for the last 8 years and I have always enjoyed it but today (May 18, 2007) I tried to place an order over the phone and the guy who answered the phone was so rude and hardly spoke any English- I could not even place the order. too bad!! FOOD IS EXCELLENT
Al & Bea's is the BEST! There is no other place around that is as good as Al & Beas it has that special taste. Delicious! I'm glad I work about a mile away from this restaurant so I get to eat there all the time. :)
This place STINKS! The waitress actually brought us a dish WE DID NOT ORDER, then actually brought it back to the kitchen and WASHED IT with water and TRIED TO BRING IT BACK TO US!! When we refused to give these lunatics a tip, they actually complained and tried to tell us NEVER TO COME BACK! Don...
Chang's is the best short-lunch-break restaurant. It has that feel of a friendly, family owned place that gives you a realistic dining experience. I would recommend the chicken curry, which by far, after visiting many asian restaurants in the LA area has been the best. I wish all the best success to...
Some dishes taste like Mom used to make--the hand made pork potstickers, the hot and sour soup, and yes, the seafood dishes are real seafood. The service depends on who you get. A wonderful woman who always makes you feel like you're a regular keeps us going there. A rather small thin severe gent...
I have eaten at this restaurant since it has opened. It has always been great. All restaurants have an off day, but that has been very seldom over the years with Chang's. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who loves Chinese food.
Went here a 2nd time to give this place another try, and what a mistake! They cleared the table while we were still finishing up w/o even asking if we were done. The manager/owner basically brushed the crumbs into our laps. Understandable if there was a line, which there wasn't! Also, he touched our...
This place is the best! They specialize in lighter Italian fare, with various specials.
The salads are fantastic, and I've yet to have a bad pasta dish here. The waitstaff are wonderful as well - the service is impeccable and the recommendations are always spot-on.
There's no sushi here (although they do offer a very limited selection of sashimi) - this place offers noodle dishes that are fantastic!
The menu structure allows diners to choose the style of noodles and toppings, and the prices are very reasonable.
The lunch specials are yummy - the garlic...
Since changed hand 2 years ago, the show has gone down to 3 people and is shorter and the price has gone up. They rush you out after the show with teens waiting to take over the place for bands. The show is farce now and not the same as been over 35 years. This was the Real place for Flamenco, bu...
Whoever wrote that first review is OUT OF THEIR MIND! I grew up three blocks from Chang's, and every holiday and special occasion was spent there...including birthdays! We even kept Polly abrest when we started shopping for a home in the neighborhood, and to this day, not once has she not personal...
This is the place to go for Green Chile & Cheese burritos!
As a loyal customer w/ family for a number of years, I was extremely disappointed on a recent visit and will never go back again. First off, if you arrive at 8:30pm on any night - even weekend nights - be prepared to be told to rush your order because their kitchen stops cooking promptly at 9:00pm....
My family and I have been loyal customers for over 20 years. This is a hidden gem located in ELA where your taste buds are always satisfied. Great food with affordable prices...you cant ask for more.

I've been returning for over 30 years. I grew up eating at al and beas. I allways make it a point to pass by when im in town. The food is great and I allways run into someone i grew up with. This place has more regulars than any place I know.i've allso introduced some of my new freinds to the pl...
This is a one of the only places I brag about! I grew up on Al & Beas Taquitos and combination Burritos! I live about 30 miles from East LA, but it's worth the drive! It's hard to find food tastes like your nana cooked it, and this about the closest I've found!
Good food, but slow service with a bit of an attitude. We ate at lunchtime, and though there were plenty of empty tables, we waited a long time for our food. Our main waitress was very friendly, but others seemed to feel that the customers were more of an annoyance.
A hidden gem. This place has the best chinese food for miles. The owner is there EVERY day so they are consistently amazing, you will never have a bad meal here. I highly recommend it.
