Located at the heart of Old Quebec, this small but friendly family-run business has become a landmark of the city. I've eaten there on several occasions when visiting Quebec on the recommendation of my parents who used to visit years ago (back in the 70s). The interior is cozy and welcoming, a combination of Chinese decor artfully blended with the rustic style you would expect from an establishment in Old Quebec. The service is friendly and occasionally the Wong family is present to chat with their customers, sharing their anecdotes from decades in the restaurant business. The menu offers something for everyone, focusing of course on Chinese cuisine, but also offering some western dishes (try the club sandwich!). Whether it be for a light snack to a full-on meal, I would definitely put Restaurant Wong's on my list of must-visits in Old Quebec! And, yes, the beef and tomato is second to none!
