This is a small family run place that is delightful. I eat here twice a month and just love it. The food is made fresh to order so it isn't fast. Each dish is prettier and tastier than the next. If you understand Indonesian culture and good quality food, this place is for you. If you want fast food and no flavor, then go to Chin-Chin or Taco Bell -- this place is a delight and should be treasured as there are so few family owned businesses like this one left.

For those of you that have never had Indonesian food, it is a bit like a cross between Thai, Indian, and Chinese. Ramayani has an extensive list of authentic Indonesian dishes and this great Dutch-inspired feast called the Rijstaffel that has something like 15 different dishes. It costs about $20 a person, minimum of two, but it could easily feed three people. Most other entrees are $8-$12. We also had these fish cake in banana leaves appetizers that were really good. The atmosphere is very homey, and you'll probably get one of the aunts or uncles to serve you. Its a very casual place.
