This is one of my favorite Grand Rapids Restaurants. Good food, good service. However, can be LOUD sometimes during special event periods.

We visited the One Trick Pony on Friday, 21 February at 7:00 PM. After a 45 minute wait at the bar, we were seated a table against the wall where entertainment is sometimes set-up. Four spotlights shine on diners seated against the wall, causing an uncomfortable glare. We asked the waitress to dim the lights, which was done so for a few seconds but then turnd back to the previous brightness. When we asked again, the waitress said they could not turn the lights down but offered to send over the owner/manager. He came over and after listening to me describe the problem, agreed to rectify it. He said he was aware of the problem; however, he went away and did not dim the lights or ever come back over. We moved to a different table and he walked by a couple of times without saying a word. In summary, the owner was non-responsive and simply ignored our request. We will never eat or drink there again!
