I went to this place after seeing it on Monster - In- Laws.. They portrayed themselves as they did in the restaurant as idiots. Food was ok, service was average.. But really, do the owners have to watch over everything that is going on in a place that has 7 customers in it.. I dont see how this place stays open........ Definetly would not recommmend this place to any one..

The impression I got from this place is that the owners have never run a restaurant before. Seems like a case of everyone in the family saying, "oh Grandma we love your food, you should open a restaurant" and so they did. The food is OK. Not great, and certainly not "genuine recipes from Calabria" as they like to suggest. For a better deal (bigger portions and better food) hit up Silvio's in the Rose Hill Shopping Center, or Abatino's in North White Plains. If you want something a little nicer and still reasonably priced, head 10 mins up the Taconic parkway to Spaccarelli's in Millwood on rt 100. With so many better options around, I don't see Nina Maria's lasting very long in Valhalla.

Unfortunately Nina Maria's doesn't live up to any expectations except that it's just about average...barely. The food is nothing to write home about (and certainly not if you're writing home to Italy). Mozzarella sticks and other appetizer items are clearly from the frozen food delivery man, and I've never in my life tasted Penne Vodka with an overdose of chopped onion. There was virtually NO tomato/cream flavor at all. Ambience was nice... plain, but nice. Don't expect anything special in terms of a party/special event room; it's basically a converted attic with some sconces on the wall. I'm sure the owners had high hopes for this place, but with a lousy location, mediocre food and not much atmosphere, Nina Maria's doesn't cut it. Oh, and it's NOT handicapped accessible - AT ALL.
