Back to SIMPLICITY! That's the story behind the Naked City Shops. Conceived by two friends from Buffalo, New York, Naked City takes the freshest available ingredients and carefully prepares them daily for you. With over two decades of kitchen experience between them, the guys have taken their experience and created a concentrated menu of only the finest handcrafted selections for their guests. Being from "Back East" the guys wanted to bring you the small neighborhood restaurant they missed and create one for everyone right here in the Mojave Desert.

You're probably asking yourself, "Where did they come up with that name?" The local folk lore goes that back in the Rat Pack days the surrounding neighborhood of the Naked City Sandwich Shop was inhabited by the beautiful stars of the Las Vegas Strip, the Showgirls. The girls loved to lounge around the pool and work on their golden tans, but no showgirl wanted tan lines. So when the helicopter pilots flying tourists to the Grand Canyon would fly over the area they would be treated to those lovely ladies hanging out by the pool in the nude. Eventually through the pilot's stories and embellishments the neighborhood became known as the "Naked City."
