Welcome to Mikaku Restaurant (a sake, wine & sushi bar) in the heart of San Francisco! Our restaurant is located 2 blocks from Union Square, near the Chinatown gate on Grant Avenue.We have recently taken over ownership and completed an extensive renovation of the restaurant. Our intention was to create a comfortable, intimate, yet lively atmosphere in which to enjoy high quality Japanese cuisine. We invite you to join us for lunch, dinner or late evening appetizers. Currently, we are open late on Fridays and Saturdays until 2 AM. We are closed on Sundays. Please let us know how we are doing and if there is anything more that we can do to make your experience a memorable one. The restaurant was re-opened on October 17, 2009.

One of the most fantastic restaurants in the city! The food is amazing and the talent in the jazz club is phenomenal. There's always great ambience and music, the service is fine, and the food is the most delicious Japanese food in San Francisco.
