Restaurant Description

"The food at Mary's is legendary," Vermont Magazine. Since 1983 chef-owner Doug Mack has offered seasonally changing, creative and eclectic menus with an emphasis on local products. Farm-fresh food from both our own gardens and small, local farms is the framework upon which our culinary magic is built. Follow the seasons of our gardens by the ingredients on our menu. Or better yet, stroll through the gardens before dinner and be tempted by your imagination and the flavors of Vermont. Menu offerings range from naturally-raised beef, lamb, venison and chicken to fresh fish and wonderful vegetarian selections.

Doug Mack, Chef-Owner

You will find Doug in the kitchen every night preparing every dinner and overseeing a talented and equally committed kitchen staff which guarantees creativity and consistency. Our Cream of Garlic Soup has been our signature dish for over twenty-six years and is world renowned. Vermont Magazine rated it as "the best soup in Vermont."

An integral part of our culinary mission is our connection with other dedicated food organizations.

Guest Rooms

Bristol, Vermont's Inn at Baldwin Creek radiates the warmth and charm of our historic 1797 Vermont farmhouse bed and breakfast inn. Our five cozy guest rooms are tastefully decorated to surround you in simple comfort.

All bedrooms feature queen or king beds with luxurious linens and down comforters. Two of the Inn's rooms are equipped with easy to operate gas-fired wood stoves to chase away Vermont's winter chill and to set a romantic mood year around. The rooms all have private baths, some with claw foot tub and one with whirlpool tub.

A three-course farm-fresh breakfast is included with your stay, served daily from 8:30-9:30. If you need to leave early you may request a continental breakfast beginning at 7:30. A bottomless cookie jar and coffee or tea are always available for our guests.
