The atmosphere is very quaint and close to some of the restaurants we visited in Italy (and "little Italy" in NYC)
The service was great too. We didn't really have to wait to have our drinks refilled, yet the waitress wasn't hovering.
We went around 8PM, so it wasn't crowded, but you could tell everyone was having a great time.
The food....DELICIOUS!!!!!! The bread was warm and fresh.
We had the fried ravioli for our appetizer. It was extremely tasteful and the sauce was as if it was just made!
The salad was wonderfully flavored; although my hubby doesn't care for the oil/vinegar type, but I enjoyed it very much. It was not the normal iceburg lettuce either. Oh and they had shavings of cheese in it...yummy!
I had the Eggplant Rollitini Al Forno. All I can say is OH MY GOSH! EXCELLENT! The size portion was enough to feed two (ooooh lunch tomorrow). I also had a side order of penne pasta. I am VERY fussy about the tenderness of my pasta and have had to send my dinner back at many restaurants...NOT THIS ONE! I explained how I wanted it to the waitress (like I normally do) and it was EXACTLY like I wanted it! BRAVO!
My hubby had the Homemade Gnocchi with sausage & pesto sauce. It was VERY good! He really enjoyed his meal too. It was a decent size portion and he also took some home.
We had NO room for dessert!!
We will definitely will be returning for another meal. You can NOT go wrong...go...enjoy....MANGIA…MANGIA!!

Excellent italian cuisine, and the lasagna and house dressing is to die for. To the "reviewer" who suggested Dayton's Bravos as better than Momma Disalvos... Puhlease.. Bravos here has some of the most bland italian food around. Perhaps Fazolis is in order for this person. Momma Disalvos is not to be missed. One of the best in Ohio, and that includes "Little Italy" in Cleveland.

Pizzeria
Centerville Pizza stupidly names themselves a pizza and sub shop. Hey dudes, sub sandwiches are mainly consumed at lunch time. I went in there at 12:30 PM to get myself a sub sandwich and was told (very impolitely) that they dont open until 3PM. He ...

We get delivery from here frequently. Always quick and the pizza is delicious!! Whenever I have out of town guests, they comment that it is better than anything at home.
Pizzeria
Very good food and excellent staff, especially JR and Mike. I only wish their delivery area was bigger and that they would stay open later. Other than that, a class act pizza shop!
Pizzeria
Centerville Pizza is a great neighborhood pizza place. They are always willing to help with the community (ie fund raisers, etc.) Their pizza is great, starting with the made from scratch dough. The subs are awesome!!!

The food is what passed for Italian food in the 1950's in this country: heavy red sauced pasta thrown at the diner with screeches of "everythin' goin'OK here, need anythin'else?" masquerading for service. The lasagna looked like a flattened out flame-singed miasma of red and yellow thickened puddles, and was at best mediocre. ($14.95) The Canneloni Special was slightly better, but 2 cannelloni with some ziti on the side with same red sauce and cheese encrusted on top for $14.50 was an outrage at that price! The begining soup, the pastina, was an overly salted chicken broth with decayed pasta and parmesan in the bottom. Not a great beginning by any means. We drove 40 miles to come to this restaurant based on reviews on various websites. I guess superlative reviews can also be misleading or most people are taken in by what they call the Italian family atmosphere (noisy, brawly racket!!!OK if the food is great). But MEDIOCRE food for HIGH PRICES, an affront to Southern Italian Cuisines. Dayton has a better Italian restaurant, with better food/pricing/service and they don't treat you like they are doing you a favor: BRAVO!!! Damn it, we should have gone there, their Lasagna is perfection, large, lightly sauced and served on a humongous platter, no way one can finish more than half of the serving. ($11.50) Their bread is homemade and their soups are to swoon over. Why didn't we go there instead?

Great food and great cozy setting for a romantic dinner for two or family dining. The service is as wonderful as the food. This is a place for a dining experience, not just a place to have a meal! One of my favorites and have never left without a satisfied appetite and smile on my face.

This is a small family run operation, that still holds the old world charm of authentic Italian cooking. The recipes are all from within the family, with the original Matriarch and Patriarch at the helm of the operation. All food is prepared fresh while you wait, and as often as I have eaten here, I have NEVER been disappointed. Not only is the food good, but it is a place where, if you go often enough, everyone remembers your name. For authentic "old world" italian cooking, charm and ambience be sure to visit Mamma Disalvo's.
