Orlando Restaurant Guide

Although we love fast service I don't think anyone can beat Mama Nems with their 4 minute wait time. I am sorry but fried chicken, callard greens, rice and beans takes a little longer to prepare then 4 mintues . we waited longer for a table then the food.I was not satisfied at all and I went all day without eating honestly thinking I would really get my money worth......NOT service was excellent but that was not the complaint everything that was put on the table was cold not a good revw to tell the friends in Ft.Lauderdale at all.

The food was excellant and the service was great. We really enjoyed the atmosphere. The quality and quantity of the food was worth the prices. You must try the red velvet cake, it was delicious. We will definitely come back when we visit orlando. This rest comes highly reccommended. My family loved the food.. our waiter was awesome!

Great Food! Banana pudding is the best! If you are looking for food like yor mama use to cook, if are in the right place!

This was the first time that I have dined here, But I love the food everything was great!! The restaurant is kinda small, I believe it needs more space and but wait was not long to be seated. I loved the food it really tastes like my Mama Nem food, Can't wait to go back!!!

The food was average, and the server we had should be replaced..if you're looking for fast service--hope you do not get her.

I go to the Mama Nems here on Kirkman about 2 times a week! It's fast, the food is soo delicious, and the portions are out of this world! When you order 'to go' you see their most popular dishes out on display buffet style! It is hands down the BEST soul food around. Only recommendation... cook the greens in ham hocks longer, with bigger pieces of meat. But honestly... it's AMAZING. I go to college at Valencia, and as a college student I couldn't be happier with the prices. Huge portions, great taste, and cheap... it doesn't get better than that.

I was just there yesterday for the first time and I can't wait to return. The portions are huge, the prices are reasonable and the food is delicious. The servers are very friendly. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience.

Hands down, Mama Nems is the best soul/southern food around. The food is very flavorful and cooked to perfection. Anyone that disagrees must have been at the wrong Mama Nems or plain out does not know what soulfood is meant to be!

I didn't LIKE it. The food taste like rubber. When I bit into a rack ribs it almost slapped me in the face. Hospital food taste five star gourmet entires compared to this disgrace of a "Soul Food" restaurant.

I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS TO A STARVING DOG!

The best place for soul food...sufficient portions, flavorful food, friendly, courteous staff, clean place-and they have take out!

This is the best soul food restaurant I have ever visited! The staff is friendly; the astmosphere is warm and comforting; the food is plentiful and absolutely unbelievable!
