A diner from Baton Rouge, LA
Jun 12, 2011
In April I visited Maggios to place a catering order for June. The order was well over the amount required for delivery.
I visited the restaurant 4 days before the event and went over (again) with owner where/when event was and paid him the total amount for catered items.
When the food had not arrived 30 minutes after the arranged delivery time, I called the restaurant and spoke with the owner.
He insisted that he had never agreed to delivery. However, he did have the food in his cooler. Since it was a day the restaurant wasn't open, I asked who would be there when I traveled across town to pick up the food while the guests waited. He assured me he would have someone there to help me.
I arrived approx. 20 minutes later and found the owner there with excuse for not delivering was his health. (NOT my problem.) Additionally, his daughter would be back soon to get my order for me. I insisted he show me where the food was immediately.
When I recounted the two times I had given him full instructions on delivery, he agreed with what I had told him, but said he didn't understand that meant the order was to be delivered. HUH???
Also, food not that great and was not what was initially ordered.
AVOID
