The only thing I really miss while I'm not living in FL is the FOOD! One of my favorite places is the Lone Cabbage...last time I was there it was still in the middle of "nowhere". My kind of ambience. To say that it is a "seafood" restaurant is insufficient when you can get their incredibly generous platter of catfish, gator tail and froglegs, along side very good cole slaw and hushpuppies (that are as good as the ones I make myself. Check out the jukebox. I hope it's still there and that the same records are on it. Patsy Cline and other memorable entertainers never sounded better than while sipping a cold draft beer (iced mug, of course) staring out over the water. Oh...and I met the "Mayor of Christmas, FL" there one lazy afternoon. (I can't help but grin just thinkin' about the Lone Cabbage.)

used to live in kissimmee, and when i was a kid growing up in florida i went to lone cabbage at least two times a week. From getting all of the other kids together and fishing with bamboo poles to just looking at wildlife and of course the airboat rides. AWWWWWWEEESOME!!! oh yeah, did i for get to mention that i will be coming back for more pretty soon?
