My wife and I went to this cafe tonight. She ordered the fried fish and I ordered the rib tips. HUGE MISTAKE on both. The rib tips were the worst I have ever had. There were so bad I could barely cut them. Some were so hard I couldn't tell if I was trying to cut through bone or meat. More fat than usual also, Of course if it hadn't been for the fat, I wouldn't have been able to cut through most tf the tips. When we got back to our car, I had to dig with a toothpick to get the pork out of my teeth. These ribs had to have been cooked (maybe days before) and rewarmed in a microwave at least once, maybe two or three times.
Once we left the restaurant, my wife informed me that the fish was really thin. That if she had taken the fish out of the breading, they would have been the same thickness. She also said the breading was very crisp, almost too hard.
I had read several reviews before we went and it sounded pretty good. Now I would bet as to who wrote those reviews. Either those people didn't eat dinner there, only breakfast, or they are probably on the payroll.
Prices, you'll pay just about as much as you would at TGI Fridays or Chili's for a comparable meal, but you'll have a much better meal at either of the other palces.
To be fair, the people at this cafe are nice and friendly people and the service is above average. We were asked more than usual if we needed more coffee.
And we were asked once if the meal was OK, but we both couldn't talk as we had just taken a bite of food. My wife held up a finger and the waitress was gone.
