This was by far our worst dinning experience in Hawaii. Location is about all that this place has going for it. Service is awful. There were only four tables occupied during the dinner service (not surprising) and we still had to wait 1/2 hour to get the waiter's attention and another 1/2 hour to get our drinks. Our entres arrived before our appetizers and they did not make up for disappointing service. The chef's smoked seafood chowder tasted like defrosted fish filets in watered down mayo, while the cornbread tasted like burned milk. Some of the kitchen staff are definitely on drugs as we witness a quick transactions between one of the chefs and a surfer who happened to wonder into the kitchen off the street. Its not surprising that they confused our order and served us entrees that were semi fresh and semi warm. As we drove back to our hotel, we gazed longingly at the near by golden arches and cursed ourselves for chosing Lahaina Store Oyster Bar .

What happen to this place the place is a mess and the food is horrible the waiter has no Clue of what he his doing . A big disappointment.I will not comeback again.
Churn em and burn em is the motto here. Sad, but true. Once a great local eatery, I've stopped recommending this place as of this week. A few attentive staff do not make up for the customer service challenged ones or tasteless food (I could do bett

We ate out every evening for 10 days of our trip to Maui, and we LOVED Lahaina Grill (ate there 2x). Everything from the interesting cocktails (tried the Pear-fection Martini) -- fruity "pear" without being too sweet...Food was the best on Maui, the

We went to this restaurant for the thanksgiving day buffet and unfortunately for us the food had been sitting out for too long. We all got sick and regretted our decision to eat the buffet. Perhaps other menu items are better. To top it off, I just checked my credit card statement and it appears that our waiter gave himself a hundred dollar tip on top of our meal. This will be resolved and I am resolved not to go back there next time we go to maui.

I have been visiting Maui for the last seven years , Lahaina Store grille is the best thing that has happen to front street. The staff are great, the food is excellent, and the rooftop is without a doubt the romantic place to dine. I look forward to next year to coming back to Lahaina Store...

I just left Maui about two weeks ago and had dinner at Lahaina Store Grille & Oyster Bar on our first day on the island. We then dined at other top restaurants on Maui and realized our best experience was Lahaina Store. Our family consisted of 5 adults and two kids, each time we had dinner there, "four in total" our family was greeted with Aloha from the moment we stepped into the restaurant until the end of our evening. I have been traveling to Maui for 11 years and this is by far the best dining experience we have had, I reccommend this restaurant to all that go to Maui!!!

Great service and friendly staff. Cantankerous chef known for spitting the dummy in full view of the public from behind glass enclosed kitchen. Hides week and a half old Maui beef mince with heavy doses of pepper. Do they think we won't notice?? Onion rings are great except for one that I had to spit out in my napkin because it tasted horrible. I left the restaurant with my stomach feeling very queasy. Comped burger or not (sans burger my bill including tip was $25)I do not like having my health compromised. They are extremely fortunate I have not called the Health Department. Will I be back? Only to have a drink with the friendly floor staff and to watch the antics in the kitchen. Raise your game fellows. You can't compromise when it comes to people's health and well-being.
