A diner from Lady Lake, FL Aug 15, 2010
When we went into La Hacienda Jr (mostly) Columbian restaurant I knew very little about Columbian food and when we left I knew even less. When we walked in at about 1 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon, we should have thought better about staying. There were very few other customers in the place. Their menu is very lengthy with the Columbian food and other Latin dishes together, except for Mexican. Mexican dishes have their own page. My wife wanted to stay with something she knew and ordered chicken cascades. I wanted to try the “house specialty” and told our wait staff that I had never been there before. She immediately pointed out a seafood dish, for $22; a bit more than I wanted to spend for lunch. I asked about grilled steak with white corn cake for $10. And she said that was good, too. We both ordered water with our meal. Our lunch arrived; my wife’s cascades plate was attractive, with three soft tacos stuffed with chicken and a pleasant sauce. Her plate contained a dollop of sour cream, guacamole, pica diego and yellow rice. The condiments were contained in small, plastic containers, for some reason. My plate contained a piece of meat about the size and shape of my hand and less than ¼ of an inch thick. It also contained a very nondescript tortia, smaller but a bit thicker tortia than a commercially available flour tortia. The meat was tough (it was too thin to be able to call it very tough), the corn cake was dry and both were tasteless. After I complained, the wait staff said that the manager said I could order something else. The manager never bothered to come to our table. When we got our check, we were charged $2 for our water. If this is the best Columbian restaurant in Orlando the market is wide open for someone who wants to provide home cooking to the Columbian residence and food education to the rest of us. It is too bad I am unable to give them 0 stars

terrible service, rude waiters and your order can not be changed because the computer can not be changed!! spent over $150.00 in lunch and the order was wrong, drinks were given after the food was served and the order was placed 40 minutes before we got there!

Tabla bar’s food tastes like home cooked meal. The food is neither too spicy nor too salty. It is just perfect. My Wife appreciated my suggestion of celebrating our anniversary at Tabla Bar. Desserts were the best part.

I'm not a fan of the food because I do not enjoy salty food, however the atmosphere is relaxing and my young adults enjoy this place immensely.
