Shan Jiang, owner and chef of the Jade Café, hails from the small southern town of Tai Shan, China, known for it's fresh ingredients and light seasoning that allow the natural flavors to come through. He arrived in New York City in 1988 and later moved to Cincinnati where he worked for some of the finest restaurants in the tri-state.
He met his wife in 1991 and they had their daughter, the namesake of the restaurant, in 1993. The Jade Café opened in August 2000 and Shan has been delighting people's tastebuds with his classic Chinese cuisine as well as his original fusions ever since.
