October of 1994, we moved our family from Albuquerque, New Mexico to Denver and opened a small family business known as "The Chile Shop". Jack II and Diego our sons, Desiree our daughter, all sacrificed the big move to this fine town. To supplement our income we started catering at some of the local car dealerships. We then started to cook outside on a propane griddle on the weekends.
Our customers demanded we open a restaurant. So, March of 2000 we opened the doors to "Jack-n-Grill".

Sunday afternoon at Jack N Grill(Bellview)was a disappointing dining experience. As we walked in and admired the atmosphere and generous portions of the other patrons entrees our mouths were watering! I ordered a house margarita he told me they were out. I odered a different type of margarita and he told me they were out of all margaitas......He offered me a beer instead. I couldnt understand why he was saying they were "OUT" of margaritas as I could see all the ingredients needed to make one on display behind the bar. I explained this to him and he said they were not serving margartias to anyone at this time because they were too busy. They didnt seem too busy. The host was just standing at the door and there were other servers hanging out near the bar. We proceeded to order, that was the last time I saw our waiter for about a half hour. Our food was served by a food runner who was in and out. We didn't have silverware...we had to track down antother waiter/waitress who could track down our server or get us silverware and the applejuice that we ordered for my son with his meal. We are pretty chill/patient people but this lack of service was UNACCEPTABLE.
My husband ended up getting out of his seat to request silverware from the host and applejuice for our son. The food was decent but overrated. The greenchili has a strong black pepper flavor.
The shrimp tacos were skimpy for the price. The waiter never addressed the poor service and the applejuice came out when we were ready to leave. This was the worst service and customer service experience that I have had in my 35 years of life. We won't be returning. Jack and his wife would be dissapointed!!

Best burger I've had in a long time. It felt like I walked in the door to Cheers. Friendly waitstaff! The cook brought our food and he even came back to see how it was! We will be back for sure...there are plen ofty burgers on the menu for me to try
