Janesville Restaurant Guide

Stopped in last Sat. for dinner. 4 adults and 3 kids. We were all stuffed when we left with plenty of leftovers and the bill was $65.00 (including apps.). My Mother-in-law had the Italian beef sandwich with the roasted veggies added. It was awesome. I had the spaghetti with Italian sausage. Very good. I'll have the Italian beef w/ veggies next time I'm in Janesville.

I enjoy eating at Italian House II. My daughter moved to Alabama and she wants to know if we will bring her some Tortellini when we come to visit during spring break. I could eat the Italian bread all day. In fact, everything is so good it is difficult to know what to order and the value is excellent. Buy the way, did you know they can provide great food for that special event. Guess what my daughter had for her wedding rehearsal dinner? Everyone loved it!

I've lived in this town most of my 45 years stuffing food in my mouth, but never ate here until three weeks ago when my parents took me out for lunch. I had the Italian Beef sandwich that day. And I've been back twice a week since! As a matter of fact, I just went through their pick up window, & picked up my super (3-13-09), & I'm eating it as I'm leaving this review. If i had one criticism, it would be.. you get a much better sandwich if you go in & order it.. not go thru the pick up window (I keep getting less meat & cheese in pick up). I mean its still a great sandwich, but inside its a lot better. Other then that one thing, its a wonderful place to eat.

The Italian House is known throughout the nation (world?) as an amazing place to not only find great pasta but also because of the very conscientious and welcoming owner. It has developed a history as a great value-for-dollar lunch for students at the near by high school, as a first-job opportunity for teens with the owner equally concerned about their scholastic achievements as he is with his business, as a great family-friendly stop for abundant take-out dinners, and even for a quiet place to just meet with friends. Students who have now moved on to college and or careers never fail to make the Italian House a destination when they return to Janesville. This is the epitome of the finest in small, local restaurant success and should not be dismissed when looking for local Italian dining.
