After reading some favorable reviews about this restaurant on this website and on the internet, I decided to try it out. The Islander was spacious, however it did not seem very clean. The tables and the menus were sticky. There was no proper place mats. The waitress was rude and did not have any manners. She kept on mishearing what we were saying. Our orders were messed up. The General's chicken tasted horrible. It was too sweet and was over fried. There was a hard coating on each piece of chicken from being overdone and there was too much sauce. Not to mention, the sauce was too concentrated. It was pure sugar. It tasted like fried cardboard with a sugar sauce on it. We were only given a tiny amount of food for the dish, The Islander chicken. A meager amount of vegetable, and an even smaller amount of chicken and shrimp. The sauce was bland and very little. We also ordered the Kungpao shrimp, which was basically a large amount of vegetables and a tiny amount of small shirmp, cooked in what it seemed like, water. The food was not worth its price, was about $10 a dish. Not to mention, We were given only two fortune cookies for three people. I would not reccomend this restaurant to anyone. We were very disappointed.
Absolutely amazing. Everything was excellent and Kwong Dynasty is the best restaurant I have ever been to. It is inexpensive and the quality of the food is fabulous. A definite 5 star place.
