Does not allow 16 year old after a long day of softball who's sick as a dog to order off the kids menu. Most ridiculous thing in the world. I have a small appetite and 20 bucks for a 10 oz steak is absurd.

My friend is stationed at Fort Rucker and took me to Hunts for some fresh oysters. The oysters are fabulous! Fresh, plump and good. They will shuck right at the bar for you and plunk 'em down as fast as you can eat 'em. The restaurant is rustic, and always busy. It allows smoking, which can be annoying, but the oysters rule! Service was prompt if you sit at the bar, and very friendly.

Food and service were good, but we left with plates half untouched because of the cigarette smoking. Talk about ruining a restaurant experience! A family of three left before they were served because of the smoking as well. We love to patronize local folks, but if you won't allow your diners to eat without harmful and disgusting cigarette smoking, we most definitely will find somewhere else to eat.

My family has eaten at Hunt's for years. The last time we went, we were sat next to the salad bar. When I say next to the salad bar, I mean that people leaned on my chair while they were in line at the salad bar. I complained to the management while I paid my $85 check, and the cashier (who I have to assume is a family member, since she was around 50, which is too old to be a cashier at a seafood restaurant) informed me that I was "lucky to get a table at all." We won't be going back again. Crystal River has much better food, and much better service.
